Daytona Beach

Day 6- Wednesday, April 29th

Today we decided to go play at the ocean. We woke up early and headed out! We drove about an hour from Orlando to Daytona beach, and we had such a great day! It was the first time that the kids saw and swam in the ocean!

Daytona Beach was so nice. They had a section of the beach where you could drive along the beach and park. So it was so nice to have easy access to the car instead of hauling all our stuff around. The beach was very clean, and there were very few people there. There was a fountain park and a playground for the kids right above where we were on the beach.

Seth wrote Ethan's name in the sand, and Ethan thought that was awesome!

The water was a little cold at first but once you got in it warmed right up. Seth, Ethan, and I had fun playing the the waves. Ciara had fun putting her feet in and playing in the sand. The kids thought it was so funny that we buried Daddy in the sand, and they each wanted their turn to be buried.

And she loved every minute of it!

We spent a great day playing, swimming, and spending time together. After we changed, ate dinner, we drove back down to the ocean as it was getting evening. We then headed on home just to discover that Ethan and I got a little too much sun. We were pretty red and burnt but it was still a WONDERDFUL day!
