4th of July

Our 4th of July celebrations started on Friday with a BBQ and fireworks at my parents house. We all got together and ate ribs and did some fireworks out front. The kids thought that they were so cool.They were little nervous about the loud noises and the sparklers getting on their hands and arms. But Ethan sure did love the tank fireworks.

Then we had a full day planned on Saturday. We got up and went swimming. Ethan even went down the big water slide and loved it! We then changed and went downtown to try to get Rookies tickets, after the game they were going to have a big fireworks show. Well I guess everyone else had the same idea and after standing in line they got sold out. Though we we were disappointed it turned out to be okay.

We headed back down to Castle Rock and as were were eating in Red Robin it started pouring rain. Not just a little rain but A LOT of rain, and it kept raining and raining! Everyone came back to our house where we played a card game, did our own fireworks, and watched a GREAT fireworks show sitting in our front yard!

Even though the day did not turn out how we planned it was still soooo much fun! Happy 4th of July!
