Our Memorial Day Adventures

Our Memorial Day weekend started Saturday morning as we went and watched Ethan play his last soccer game. We think it is so much fun to go and watch Ethan have so much fun. Though he hasn’t really grasped the concept of the game he loves to go and run and try. He gets so proud of himself when he kicks the ball, he loves running through the tunnel the parents make after every game, and loves when it is his turn to bring snacks. Ethan almost scored two goals on Saturday, the ball missed the net by inches.

After his game we all went to the local rec center to go swimming. The weather was pretty cool this weekend so we went to an indoor pool. Both Ethan and Ciara love playing in the pool. Ethan loves to swim with his Dad and going down the slide. Ciara loves the geysers and thinks that she is as big as Ethan and can follow him anywhere that he goes. She sometimes forgets that she is only 18 months old.

On Sunday we all went to church. I took pictures of the kids in their Sunday clothes. Ethan and Ciara are best friends. They love playing with each other and get along so great. Ethan is so nice and considerate to Ciara, he is always thinking of her and including her in the things he does. He gets her snacks and juice boxes, when he is playing trucks he always finds one for her, and always wants Ciara to go play outside or in his room with her. We have been very lucky to have such great kids. From the moment Ethan came and saw Ciara and me in the hospital he loved her and we have had no problems with them. It is so great because we have said nothing or done nothing to promote this love and friendship, it is just the way they are.

On Monday, as a family, we climbed the castle rock mountain. It is a fairly easy hike, Ethan did it the whole way himself, and it has an amazing view. We all had fun hiking it together. Since the weather was cool and dreary we went camping in our back yard. My parents gave us a fire pit for our backyard last year and so we built a fire and made s’mores.

Our other big weekend adventure was painting my upstairs hall way. We faux painted my downstairs last month and we had extra paint left over and so we did my hallway. I love how it looks; it is so easy, and quite fun. I think that it is my new favorite hobby. It looks so much better than just straight paint.

We did a lot this weekend, and had so much fun spending the time together as a family.

A Nursery Break Through

Today was Sunday, and Ciara has had a hard time going to nursery the last month. She loves to be with me all the time and is very sad when we are not together. So the last few weeks when we dropped her off she would scream until they finally had to take her to Seth. But today Seth went to Nursery with Ciara for the first hour and then left to go to Priesthood. Ciara cried for about 10 minutes and then stopped and stayed by herself the rest of the hour. This might sound silly but it is such a big deal to us!!!!

Ethan loves going to big primary and is learning so much about the goespel. It suprises Seth and I how much he knows. He loves to sing and sings so everyone can hear him. It has been such a joy for me to be in the primary presidency and see him each Sunday.

We are truly blessed with sweet children!

Ethan's Preschool Graduation

Today was Ethan's preschool graduation! I can't believe that this school year is over. Ethan was so lucky to go to preschool with Miss Dena. She was an awesome teacher and did so many things for the kids. Ethan loved going each week and will be very sad that it is over.

Ethan now can write his entire first name without help, knows many of his letters, can count to 12, knows all his colors, and can sing all the songs he learned in preschool. It has been amazing to see all that he has accomplished this year and it is even better to see him having so much fun.

Next year he will move onto another year of preschool with Miss Cathy and are so excited about that. Here are a few pictures of Ethan at his graduation!

Way to go Ethan, we are so proud of you!!!!!!

Our First One

This is our first entry! So a little about us:
Ethan is 4 yrs old. He is in preschool and loves it. He loves singing, learning, being snack captain, and show and tell. He also is playing soccer, and he gets out there and kicks the ball. It is so much fun to watch him grow up and enjoy being a little boy.
Ciara is 20 months old now and is our little princess. She is talking so much more now, loves to play with her big brother, and loves to get her hair done. She loves being with Mom, and we are best friends.
Seth is working at CBIZ Accounting Firm, and is hoping to pass the CPA exam this year. He is also busy as the 2nd counselor in the Elders Quorum Presidency. Seth and Ethan are looking forward to going camping this summer.
I am just so happy to be at home with my children and to experience all the fun things that they do each day. Yesterday was Mother's Day and it was such a great day. I am thankful to be a mom and to to be the mom to two beautiful, healthy, and special children.
