Bella's First Trip To The Park

We have had some great weather this spring and after we picked Ethan and Ciara up from school we headed over to the park for a little while. The kids loved being outside! I happened to have my camera in my car and so I was able to get a few pictures of the kids.

Bella loved the swings. She thought she was so big and she loved watching the kids play. You can tell that she is teething in all of these pictures. She does that with her mouth all the time now but still no teeth poking up yet.
I just thought this was the cutest little face ever!
Ethan was so proud that he did the monkey bars all by himself. He of course is wearing his basketball jersey again, if you haven't noticed Ethan is still so obsessed with basketball. But he is such a good boy and a wonderful help to me especially with Bella.

Ciara is truly our little princess and when she was at the park she went up to a part of the playground that looked like a tower and she pretended to be Rapunzel. calling to her prince. It is so funny to watch her play make believe, she calls her price on the phone, she plays preschool, and primary, and she wants to be a mommy when she grows up. I am loving her so much!

I love being able to get out and play with my kids, and am so glad that winter is almost all over. It is so fun to see them play and interact with each other and truly love each other!

I can't get enough of this little one!

The American Flag

Ethan had to do his first real at home school project. The unit was on America, and he was given the symbol of the American Flag to research, do a project on, and then present on it. We all went to see the program and presentation.

First, all the first graders sang American songs together. Then we went to his classroom and all the students had to get up and read what they researched about their symbol and show of their project. I was so proud of my big E!

This is Ethan before his program.

Just after they sang.

Reading his research facts

Showing of his American flag- On one side we made the original flag, The Betsy Ross Flag, and on the back side we made the flag that we have today.

His wonderful teacher, Mrs. Bartholio!

Now his flag is hanging in his room. It was so much fun to do and can't wait for the next school project!

Ethan turns 7!

This past week was Ethan's birthday! We had so much fun celebrating the awesome little guy that he is!

This year his birthday was all sports. He is so into basketball and the Nuggets right now. All he ever wears is basketball clothes, all he ever talks about is basketball, and all he wants to do is watch the Nuggets playing!

So first we had a Sports birthday party at the church gym. Ethan had lots of  friends come and they had a lot of fun playing all different types of sports. Ethan said that it was his best party ever, and I would have to agree.

I had bought him some new basketball shoes and a new Nuggets jersey for his birthday so we had him open those presents before his party and before anyone else got there so he could wear them. He was SUPER excited about his shoes and clothes, who would have thought that a 7 year old would want clothes more than toys!!!!

And then you should have seen how even more excited he was when he opened his new Nuggets jersey, he was running around the gym!

We were all decked out in our sports clothes. Ciara refuses to wear her pink Bronco jersey because it is like a boy, so luckily a friend had a cheerleading outfit that she wore and she was so happy! I can't believe that I didn't get a picture of all of us together. Seth was dressed as a referee and he did a great job running the party.

My baby girl, even though she looks like a little boy. She looked so stinkin cute with the headband that I had to keep it on her! Poor little girl was so sick the entire week. I have never had as sick of a kid as she was that week. She was just starting to feel better that night.

When all the boys got there they rotated through different sports like baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey, golf, and football. Then it was time to eat pizza and Gatorade! Ethan was so excited for his own bottle of Gatorade. Then we had a basketball ice cream cake I made and opened presents. The boys all played until parents came to get them. It was such a great party!

We played a lot of fun games.
We ate some pizza.
Opened a lot of fun presents!
Then sang Happy Birthday!

On the Monday after his party this is what he came down the stairs for school wearing. Notice the shorts and pants!!! He LOVES basketball clothes and decided to wear them ALL!
Then he was showing off his jersey.
Then on Ethan's real birthday he woke up to a decorated house and a few presents.

Then I took some ice cream sandwiches to his class for his birthday. Here is Ethan standing in the circle as everyone sings Happy Birthday to him.

Then we went swimming with his cousins, to Red Robin with Grandma and Grandpa, and to Target to pick out a birthday toy.

It was such a fun day and Ethan is such a sweet little boy and we are so glad that he is part of out family.

Happy Birthday Big E! We love you so much!
